The Powerful Placements Pilot Program 2017 was delivered in partnership between Community Transition Support (CTS) and Powerful Placements (PP) which provided students from specialist schools the opportunity of completing a work experience placement with their local member for parliament.
The work experience placements aimed to bridge the gap between people with disabilities and Members of Parliament. The Powerful Placements Pilot ran from October to December 2017 and seven specialist schools participated in the program:
On Thursday 8 March 2018, CTS and Powerful Placements celebrated the pilot program at Victoria’s Parliament House. Students who successfully completed their work experience placements received certificates of completion presented by The Hon. Martin Foley, Minister for Disability.
“Ayden was a productive and friendly addition to the team… I am confident Ayden has a bright future ahead. He is responsible, dilligent, friendly and has great people skills.”
