What does the Talent Community provide?

The Career Connections Talent Community Portal has been designed to meet the needs of a range of different users.

For students:

You will be able to develop your skills and understanding of the world of work by seeing a range of suitable jobs and preparing an online resume

CTS has produced a video featuring Mark, a former student of Warringa Park School demonstrating how to use the portal.  To watch the video, click here.

For schools:

The portal includes a range of tools and resources that can be used as part of the Career Development curriculum, including a workbook and a tutorial video. To see how the portal is mapped to the Victorian Careers Curriculum Framework, click here.

The Useful Links feature on the home page allows you to easily access information from other websites including those of the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Health and Human Services.

For parents and carers:

Using the portal, you can discuss the range of career options available.  Explore real job opportunities through the job feed and stay up to date with the latest developments through the notice board.

The useful links section of the home page provides simple access to other websites such as myfuture and the Department of Health and Human Services.

For employers:

If you can offer opportunities to young people with a disability for volunteering, work experience or employment, the portal provides you with the opportunity to post exclusive jobs.

Simply become a member, sign in and click here to post your opportunity.

Croxton students get connected

In 2016 Croxton School worked with CTS to develop a unit of work for their year 10 students about how to use the CTS Career Connections portal.  In 2017 the unit was refined and improved.  Click here to read the case study about how Career Connections can be used in the classroom.
